Steve Brubaker (Senior VP of InfoCision - a major provider of telemarketing services) posted on his blog a half-rant against the efforts of myself and others and a half-warning to his fellow industry professionals. I responded to his posting and urge others to do likewise, if they are so inclined. The article in question (as well as others on his blog) provides an illuminating view of the industry and their approach. It is the same thing I have heard a dozen times, and helps to explain why the industry is viewed in such a poor light.
(Addendum: I find it mildly humorous that Mr. Brubaker could not be bothered to contact me directly, but I suppose such is the nature of blogs...)
