Rachel Recently Wrote: Two days ago, i started receiving ghost calls. The call was dead air for 10 seconds and then it would cut off. I was getting tired of answering the call, so i returned the favor by calling them. I was given a recording that said it was a telemarketer and i could be placed on a do not call list, so i entered my info to be removed. Within 2 hours, the number popped up on caller id again. My husband answered the call and there was a live person, so he asked the,m to staop calling us. Instead of listening to my husband, they proceeded to tell him he won a 100 dollar gift card to walmart. my husband let them talk because he gets amusement from these calls. To me the first give away of this being a scam was when i heard the accent and found out the persons name. Needless to say they don't match up at all. He was transferred to 3 or 4 people and these were the names he was given:Dave Thomas, Shawn Martin, Austin Jones, and John Sermanze. They kept giving my husband confirmation codes he would need when the card came in three days so he could activate the card. The numbers vary but they all start with FSRD.When we asked them if they had a website to look at for their company, they replied that they do not make money from applications....this was not the response to the question my husband asked. Apparently the only thing they know about the internet is apps. They asked to speak with me when they heard me to tell him to hang up on them, i obliged for the amusement, but was taken aback at what happened next. I tried to say something, anything to the lady who called herself Dave Thomas, but I was cut off each and everytime i made a sound. I eventually lost it and cussed them out and she told me to get the hell out of her life...weren't they the ones forcing themselves in ours? We thought we were done since we told them not to call anymore. We were wrong, they called back 30 minutes later and it was a man asking for my husband and told my husband that i had a problem with the person that i had cussed out. He said no everything was fine and the man attempted once again to get my husband to give them our cc number for a 2.95 delivery charge for the $100 gift card. My husband politely hung up and luckily they have not called back since.

L. Weakley Recently Wrote: Twice today, I received calls from this company called "U.S. Protection," which the callers claim would "send us" a $100 gift card, upon me giving them some information. The accents were very thick, they both claimed they were calling from Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A., but I doubt since the thickness of their accents put me in a position to ask them to repeat what they were saying, and to slow down. They were asking about our spending habits with a VISA/MASTER CARD - it SCREAMED "scam". We've also (my husband & I) put the number on the Do Not Call list.
