Telemarketer/Company Name:
Telemarketer/Company Number: 619-822-1194
The Story: This is an excerpt from an email I sent to the FCC to report a complaint:
I have been receiving phone calls from 619-822-1194 on an increasing basis and have been running into serious issues with them. I am working under the assumption that they are a charitable organization but I have not been able to get a word in to ask them to remove us from their call list because they hang up on me. I have tried getting a reverse number lookup but the number just shows they are calling from San Diego, CA and that they are unlisted.
My phone keeps a log of calls received throughout the day and I went through the call log and found that they have called us 23 times since 3/1/07:
[NOTE: This list of calls is far from complete but I think the point was made]
3/1- 9:46 am, 2:20 pm
3/2- 11:22 am
3/3- 12:58 pm
3/5- 11:44 am
3/6- 11:51 am
3/7- 10:42 am
3/8- 10:43 am
3/10- 11:20 am, 4:52 pm
3/11- 5:09 pm
3/12- 12:24 pm, 8:29 pm
3/13- 10:35 am, 8:52 pm
3/14- 10:08 am, 10:48 am, 3:29 pm, 8:32 pm
3/15- 10:34 am
3/16- 10:43 am, 1:06 pm, 7:54 pm
I have tried to complain about the late phone calls (almost 9:00 PST!) or to ask them to remove me from their call list but they have continually hung up on me. My husband and I have our number(s) on the do not call lists. I am not sure what else to do. Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated. In the meantime we will try and continue to ask them to remove us from their call list.
Sincerely,
Autumn Eden
All I received back from the FCC was an automated response asking me to provide additional information about the caller, their business, the times of the calls, content of calls, etc. I was amazed! Did anyone read my initial complaint? I could not have given more detail if I tried. I think this could explain the lack of cases regarding complaints.
A note of interest: That number has stopped contacting me after I sent the email complaint to the FCC. I wonder if they can track when their number has been reported, etc. Any thoughts?
