Telemarketer/Company Name: Carpet Cleaning Company

The Story: I've gotten a second call from a carpet cleaning company in a month. The first time was from an 866 area code. The call is automated, so you have to listen to their entire pitch to find an option to get off their call list (which I should not be on in the first place.) The second time I pressed the option to be taken off their call list. We'll see if that really works given that they don't seem keen on complying with Federal Law in the first place. Calling the numbers on my caller ID just either gets a generic Telemarketer business or dead air.
Next time I get a call from them I'm going to get connected to a sales person to find out who they are. The really horrible part about this is that they use automated messages so that you can't shortcut to getting the company name. Argh!
Disclosures: The number they call has been on the Federal DNC Registry for a long time. I have not engaged a carpet cleaning company in 10+ years, so I assume I have no business relationship with them.
