Telemarketer/Company Name: Unknown
Telemarketer/Company Number: Unknown
The Story: The latest spin on the ever widening gap of getting around the "National Do Not Call Registery" and related laws, is to move telemarketing overseas.
I am sure most everyone has noticed how a lot of customer services have been outsourced (mainly to India). Well, telemarketing is right on the coat tails of this trend.
Because the new telemarketing is outsourced overseas, we here in the U.S. now have little or no recourse.
The only way I see around this, is to have an anonomous number and use a phone answering device with a message something like "You have reached a number that does not accept calls from parties unknown. This includes telemarketers and all solicitotors of any kind. If you have a legitimate need to contact the partie(s) at this number, leave your name and number and your call will be returned.
